Temple Avenue Poject (TAP)

Housebuilding in the noughties was becoming increasingly complex but some simple truths will always apply: designing the building fabric correctly must be the highest priority. Getting the fabric right will save energy for the whole life of the dwelling. TAP, devised and led by me represented a real time demonstration project examining both different methods of construction, bespoke systems/product performance and the industries ability to build to the required specification/performance levels.This publication examines the low carbon journey of 54 & 69 Temple Avenue, York. with its sister publication- 67 Temple,  examaning the carbon reduction potential of a 1930's semi.
